How do I show my lunch break in the calendar?

Your lunch break shows automatically in the calendar based on your working hours. Click the block to adjust it for a specific day without touching your usual schedule.

Updated on July 3, 2026

The lunch break shows automatically in the calendar as soon as it's set in your usual working hours. To adjust it for a specific day only, click directly on the break block in the grid: a small panel opens with the start and end time to edit.

Where the displayed break comes from

The lunch break you see on the grid isn't a block you set yourself: it comes from your usual working hours (break start and end time). That's the same source of hours that feeds the whole calendar grid, in both week view and day view.

Adjust the break for one day

Click the break block shown on the grid to open the quick edit panel. Two fields to fill in: start time and end time. You can type the digits directly (for instance "1930" turns into 7:30 PM). Save it: the new break slot shows up immediately for that day, without changing your usual hours on other days.

What blocks the save

Two safeguards protect the consistency of your schedule.

  • The end time must come after the start time.
  • The new break range must not overlap an appointment already booked or another break that day.

If either case comes up, the panel stays open with a message to adjust the times, nothing is lost.

Edge cases

You don't see a lunch break block in the calendar. Check that your break is properly set in your usual working hours: without a start and end time defined, no block shows up on the grid.

You want to block time that isn't your lunch break (training, personal appointment, day off). That's a different flow: use the slot block from the calendar's CTA instead.

You want to change your lunch break permanently, not just for one day. This quick setting only changes a specific day; for a lasting change, adjust your usual working hours instead.
