How do I connect Stripe to take payments?
From Settings > Connections, create your Stripe account to enable card payments, then choose which payment methods you accept.
Updated on July 3, 2026
You connect Stripe from Settings > Connections: click "Create my account" to start Stripe's identity verification, and once it's validated, you can charge your clients by card from the dashboard.
Create your Stripe account
On the Connections page, the Stripe card shows your current status: not connected, verification pending, or active. If you don't have an account yet, click "Create my account": you're redirected to Stripe's verification form (identity, bank details). Once the form is complete, you're brought back to your dashboard automatically.
Track your connection status
- Not connected: no Stripe account created yet.
- Verification pending: the form has been submitted, Stripe is finishing the review.
- Active: card payments are available to charge your clients.
Once active, a button lets you jump straight to your Stripe dashboard to check your payouts and bank details.
Choose your payment methods
Once Stripe is active, go to Settings > Deposits & payments to turn on the payment methods you accept: card, cash, and, depending on your plan, split payment. Card payment and split payment stay greyed out until Stripe is active.
Edge cases
Account creation fails. A message explains why (expired session, network error...). Simply restart the creation from the Connections page.
You don't want online payment. You can state that explicitly while setting up your studio; you can always change your mind later from this page.
Split payment doesn't show up. This option depends on both Stripe being active and your subscription plan.
What's next
Once Stripe is connected, you can collect a deposit or offer remote payment to your clients.
