How to connect Instagram, Messenger, or my email?

Connect Instagram, Messenger, and your email from Settings > Messaging to receive all your client messages in a single unified inbox.

Updated on July 3, 2026

It all happens in Settings > Messaging. Instagram and Messenger connect in one click through a Meta authorization window, your email is set up through a dedicated window. Once connected, every message lands in your unified inbox.

Connect Instagram or Messenger

Click "Connect" on the channel's row. A Meta authorization window opens: log in and grant access. The channel then switches to "connecting" status (with a small loading indicator) while Sweb finalizes the link, which takes a few seconds. Once done, the channel shows "connected".

Connect your email

Click "Connect" on the Email row: a window opens to fill in your mailbox settings. Once confirmed, emails received and sent show up in the same inbox as your Instagram and Messenger messages.

Disconnect a channel

Clicking "Disconnect" opens a confirmation before cutting the channel. You won't receive new messages from that channel in Sweb until it's reconnected.

If Meta cuts the connection

Meta can revoke a channel's authorization for Instagram or Messenger (expiration, manual removal on your side on Meta). In that case, an alert banner appears at the top of your inbox with a "Reconnect" button that takes you straight back to this page. Until the channel is reconnected, it stays inactive.

Notification settings

At the bottom of the page, you'll find the messaging notification settings: a sound when a message arrives, push notification on your device. Useful so you never miss a request without keeping the app open all the time.

Edge cases

My Instagram account is already used elsewhere. If the Instagram account you're trying to connect is already linked to another Sweb studio, the connection fails with a clear message. An Instagram account can only be connected to one studio at a time.

The channel stays stuck on "connecting". Finalizing normally takes a few seconds. If it persists, reload the page: the status updates automatically once the connection completes on the server side.

Messenger doesn't show up in my list. The Messenger channel is being rolled out, it may not be available on your account yet.

I manage several artists in my studio. Each artist connects their own channels: the page shows one card per artist, with their Instagram, Messenger, and Email rows.
