How does AI reply to my recurring messages?

AI suggests a reply in every conversation through the sparkle button: read it, adjust it, or send it as is, nothing is ever sent without you.

Updated on July 3, 2026

In every conversation, a sparkle button offers you an AI-generated reply suggestion. You read it, and can adjust it or apply it in one click. Nothing is ever sent automatically without your confirmation.

Use the suggestion

As soon as a message has been exchanged in the conversation (client or you), the sparkle button appears above the reply area. Click it: a suggested reply shows up in a bar above the composer. You can apply it directly into the text field, edit it before sending, or ignore it and write your own reply.

Turn off AI for a specific conversation

A dedicated icon (gradient-styled, distinct from the sparkle button) lets you turn off the AI suggestion for one particular conversation. A lock icon then appears in the header to show AI is disabled on that thread, without affecting the rest of your conversations.

Set the AI's tone

If the Settings > My AI page is available on your account, you can set the personality and tone of the suggestions there: warm, professional, casual, or formal, as well as informal or formal address. You can also describe your specifics (styles, constraints, recurring details the AI should know) so suggestions match your way of replying more closely.

A toggle at the top of this page turns the AI's automatic replies on or off across your entire messaging. If you turn it off, the settings stay saved but the AI stops generating suggestions.

Transparent handoff message

Still in Settings > My AI, you can write a message that lets the client know you're taking over the conversation, without cutting the exchange abruptly. Useful if you want to keep a smooth transition between an automatic reply and your personal input.

When the suggestion doesn't appear

The sparkle button doesn't show up if the Instagram or Messenger reply window is closed (see the article on the inbox): in that case, no reply can be sent anyway, so the AI doesn't suggest anything.

Edge cases

I don't see the My AI page in my settings. This page is being rolled out and isn't yet available on every account.

The AI misunderstood a client's request. You always stay in control: the suggestion is never sent automatically, you can correct it or ignore it before replying.

I want to turn off AI only on one sensitive conversation. Use the disable icon in that conversation's header instead of the global toggle, which turns off AI everywhere.
