How do I check out a walk-in client (no appointment)?
The register's Walk-in button covers notes, quotes, and optional booking for a walk-in client, all the way through to checkout.

View as MarkdownFrom the register, tap the Walk-in button (the dashed tile in the grid). A multi-step flow guides you through: project notes, quote, then a booking if needed. You can skip the optional steps and check out directly.
Why this flow exists
A client who shows up without an appointment has no project record and no booked slot. The walk-in button creates these on the fly, so you never have to leave the register to go create an appointment or a project elsewhere in the app.
The steps of the walk-in flow
- Project notes. Body area, brief, reference images if you want to keep them for the client record. This step is optional, you can skip it.
- Quote. Price, estimated duration, an optional deposit, number of sessions if the project spans several appointments. A quote signature is possible here if you want to formalize it right away.
- Booking (optional). If the client leaves with a booked slot, choose it here. If checkout happens on the spot, right now, you can skip this step.
On confirmation, the project (and the appointment, if any) are created server-side and automatically linked to the register's cart, ready to check out.
Create a project directly from the cart
A shorter variant exists if you're already building a cart and just want to attach a new project without going through the full walk-in flow: the same notes and quote steps apply, without the booking step.
Edge cases
The client doesn't have a record yet. Create one in a few fields directly from the client step at the register, before or during the walk-in flow.
The tattoo requires consent. The health questionnaire and signature still need to be validated before final checkout, just like for a regular appointment.
You just want to sell a flash with no project file. No need to go through the walk-in flow: add the flash directly to the cart from the grid and check out as usual.
The quote is rejected on validation. Check the price (above €0.01) and the duration (at least 15 minutes): those are the only input constraints on the walk-in quote.
