How to track my projects with the kanban board?

The Projects kanban view spreads your projects across 5 columns you move by drag and drop, with confirmation guardrails on the sensitive stages.

Updated on July 3, 2026

From Projects, the kanban view spreads your projects across 5 columns (design, approved, in progress, done, cancelled). Drag a card from one column to another to move the project forward: dropping it validates the transition directly, except on sensitive stages where a confirmation is asked first.

Open the kanban view

The kanban is the default view of the Projects page. Each column shows the number of projects it holds in its header. On mobile, columns scroll horizontally (side swipe) instead of showing side by side.

Move a card

On desktop, hover a card to reveal the drag handle. On mobile, the handle stays visible at all times to remain easy to tap. Grab the card and drop it in the target column: columns the move isn't allowed into fade out visually while you drag, to guide you.

The possible transitions follow a project's natural progress: design to approved, approved to in progress, then in progress to done or cancelled.

Confirmations on sensitive stages

Some columns are terminal stages: done and cancelled. Dropping a card into one of them opens a confirmation window before applying the change, to avoid an accidental drop.

If you drop a project on done while some sessions aren't marked as completed yet, a warning shows up. You can still confirm if that's intentional.

What each card shows

A card summarizes the essentials of the project: the client, the project's name and type, the price, how long it's been in this stage, up to 3 tags (style, technique, area), and the assigned artist's avatar. Depending on the phase, a contextual badge appears: "New" in design, "Active" in progress, or the healing countdown once the project is in aftercare. In the approved phase, a badge shows whether the deposit is pending or already paid.

Click anywhere on the card, outside the handle, to open the project's full detail.

Filter and sort

A toolbar above the kanban lets you sort cards and search for a project. Advanced filters (request status, healing progress, artist, price range) stay in draft mode until you click "Show results", so you can combine several criteria before running the search.

Edge cases

A card has no drag handle. That's expected for projects in a terminal phase (done, declined, cancelled): they can no longer be moved by drag and drop.

You only see your own projects. If your account is scoped to a single artist, the kanban view only shows projects assigned to you.

You're looking for a "healing" or "declined" column. Neither status has a dedicated column on the kanban: healing is tracked from the project's detail view, and a decline is handled from incoming project requests rather than by drag and drop.
