How do I change or cancel my booking?

To change the time or cancel your appointment, contact your artist directly: they manage your slot and any impact on your deposit.

Updated on July 3, 2026

To change the time of your appointment or cancel it, contact your artist directly. They manage their own schedule and can adjust your slot or handle the cancellation. There's no "cancel" button available to you on the booking page.

How to contact your artist

Use the channel you already use with your artist: Instagram, the message you received when you booked, or the contact details shown on their booking page. Let them know clearly:

  • your name and the date of the appointment,
  • whether you want to change the time or cancel entirely,
  • if you want to change the time, one or more slots that would work for you.

The sooner you reach out, the better your chances that they can rework the slot and offer you an alternative.

What happens to your appointment

Once your request has been sent, your artist updates their schedule on their end. There's nothing else for you to do: you don't need to go back through the booking page to "free up" your slot.

If you cancel, the appointment is simply removed from the artist's schedule. If you want to book a new slot afterwards, you can go through their booking page again. See How do I book a slot with a tattoo artist?

What about my deposit

If you'd already paid a deposit for this appointment, what happens to it depends on the terms your artist has set (notice period, their studio's own cancellation policy). Some deposits are refundable under certain conditions, others aren't: it's worth checking directly with your artist when you make your request. See Is my deposit refundable if I cancel? for the general principles.

A last-minute issue

If you need to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, let your artist know as soon as possible rather than simply not showing up. A missed appointment without notice makes it harder for them to reorganize their schedule and can work against you when it comes to a refund.

Need help

If you can't reach your artist, give it a little time before sending another message: many studios reply outside of session hours. The contact form on sweb.so does not handle appointment management, go through your artist directly.
