How do I build up my portfolio?

Publish a tattoo photo or video from your portfolio: upload, caption, service tags, visibility, scheduling, and switching from draft to published.

Updated on July 3, 2026

From My work, click New post (or the photo button on mobile) to upload an image or video of your work, caption it, tag it, then publish it right away or save it as a draft. This is your showcase, the one your clients see on your public page.

Creating a new post

The creation form fits on one screen: media area on the left, information on the right (single column on mobile).

  • Add one or more media files: JPG, PNG, or WEBP images up to 20 MB, or MP4, MOV, or WEBM videos up to 200 MB and 5 minutes. Drag and drop or click to open the file picker.
  • Crop and reorder: after upload, adjust the framing (fitted or full frame), reposition the image, and pick a thumbnail if it's a video. Multiple media files are organized into a carousel.
  • Write a caption freely.
  • Tag services: link the post to one or more offerings from your catalog, so your clients understand what they're looking at.
  • Specify the taxonomy: styles and techniques involved.
  • Choose visibility: public or private.
  • Link an appointment if the post illustrates a specific session from your calendar.

The Publish button stays greyed out until at least one media file is selected.

Publishing now or scheduling

At the bottom of the form, two options.

  • Save as draft: the post is saved but not publicly visible, you can pick it up again later.
  • Publish: the post goes live immediately, or you can pick a date and time to schedule it to go live automatically later.

Finding and managing your posts

Your portfolio is browsed through two tabs, Published and Drafts, with a choice between grid view (Instagram-style mosaic) and list view. On a draft, a direct shortcut on the card opens a quick-publish panel, without going through the full creation screen: you'll find the same options there (publish now, schedule, or archive).

A stats bar at the top of the gallery summarizes views, likes, and engagement on the posts shown.

Pinning and archiving

A pin icon on each card brings your favorite posts to the top of the gallery. A published post can be archived to remove it from public view without deleting it: it stays accessible to be restored as a draft later.

Edge cases

The Publish button stays greyed out. Check that at least one media file has been uploaded: that's the only blocking condition for publishing.

Your file is rejected on upload. Check the format and size: images up to 20 MB (JPG, PNG, WEBP), videos up to 200 MB and 5 minutes (MP4, MOV, WEBM). A message specifies the rejection reason file by file.

You want to showcase a flash that's already for sale. Tag the matching service when creating the post: this links your publication to the flash's listing in your catalog, visible from your public page.

You want to publish a post without it appearing on your public page. Choose private visibility: the post stays in your internal portfolio without being shown to your clients.
