From **Settings > Connections**, connect your Google Calendar or your iCloud calendar: once connected, your personal busy times automatically block your online booking availability, and you can choose to have your Sweb appointments written there.

## Connect Google Calendar or iCloud

On the Connections page, first check the access authorization box: the connect button stays inactive until you do. Then:

- **Google Calendar**: click "Connect Google Calendar", you're redirected to Google's authorization screen in a popup window. Grant access, the window closes and the account shows as connected.
- **iCloud**: click "Connect iCloud". Apple asks for an app-specific password, different from your account password: you create one in a few seconds on account.apple.com, under Sign-In and Security, then paste it into the form together with your Apple ID.

You can connect up to five calendars in total, across all providers, and several accounts from the same provider (for example your personal calendar and a calendar shared with your studio).

## The two directions of the sync

Once an account is connected, two separate settings appear on its card:

- **Calendars read for your availability**: check each personal calendar whose busy slots should block your online booking. A personal appointment, a busy slot, or time off entered in Google or iCloud automatically makes the matching slot unavailable to your clients.
- **Where to write your appointments**: below the account cards, a single choice for your whole studio, across all providers. Choose the calendar where Sweb should create your appointments, or select "No calendar" if you only want to import your busy times without writing your Sweb appointments there.

These two settings are independent: you can read several calendars for your availability while writing to only one of them, or to none.

## What Sweb writes in your personal calendar

By default, a Sweb appointment shows up in your personal calendar under the generic title "Occupé" (French for "Busy", kept as-is no matter your display language), with no client data at all. You can turn on an enriched title that shows the client's first name instead: the full mechanics, and the fix if a client objects, are covered in [How do I show my client's first name in my personal calendar?](/en/pro/calendar/client-first-name-personal-calendar).

## Edge cases

**An account asks to be reconnected.** The provider revoked access (app-specific password changed on Apple's side, authorization withdrawn on Google's side). The sync stops until you reconnect the account; your availability already blocked isn't affected in the meantime.

**The connected account doesn't have write access to the chosen calendar.** Check that account's permissions with your provider, Google or Apple. Sweb picks it up within the day once it's fixed.

**You've reached the limit of five connected calendars.** Disconnect one before adding a new one.

**You disconnect a calendar instead of withdrawing your authorization.** Disconnecting removes the imported slots from that account and stops its sync, but your authorization stays active: you can reconnect the account anytime. Withdrawing authorization goes further, it disconnects all your accounts from that provider and revokes access on their end.

## What's next

Once your calendar is connected and a write destination is chosen, review [how your client's first name shows up in that same calendar](/en/pro/calendar/client-first-name-personal-calendar): it's off by default, and turning it on has consequences worth knowing before you use it.
